There was an upset when higher rankedManresa (13-12) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Boet Mataro (12-14) 59-52 on Saturday. Boet Mataro outrebounded Manresa 43-31 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Argentinian forward Maria Fux (183-2000, college: St.Peter's) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Anna Gamarra (190-2001, college: Ball St.) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Mariona Teixido (180-1995) produced 7 points and 8 rebounds and center Maria Sall (190-1996) added 2 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Boet Mataro maintains ninth position with 12-14 record, which they share with Viladecans. Loser Manresa dropped to the sixth place with 12 games lost.
