Very expected game when 15th rankedMelilla (7-22) lost to fourth ranked Estudiantes (19-10) in Madrid 73-86 on Wednesday. It was an exceptional evening for Finnish Sasu Salin (190-1991) who led the winners and scored 24 points. Italian-Uruguayan guard Jayson Granger (191-1989) accounted for 10 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side. Granger is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Estudiantes players scored in double figures. American forward Nicholas McMullen (203-2002, college: Georgia St.) came up with 6 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Nathan Hoover (193-1997, college: Wofford) added 12 points respectively for Melilla in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Estudiantes have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 19-10 record. Loser Melilla keeps the fifteenth position with 22 games lost. They share it with Burgos T. and Palma BM.
