Not a big story in a game when 11th rankedIDK Euskotren (12-18) was outscored by second ranked Girona (23-6) in San Sebastian 84-58 on Saturday. Girona looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by IDK Euskotren 's players. Swedish guard Klara Lundquist-Holm (173-1999) notched 13 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and French power forward Axelle Merceron (189-2003) supported her with 15 points. Girona's coach Roberto Iniguez felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds by Senegalese center Khadija Faye (193-2002, college: Pittsburgh) did not help to save the game for IDK Euskotren . Guard Roso Buch (179-1992) added 12 points. Girona maintains second position with 23-6 record having just three points less than leader Zaragoza.
