Very expected game when 11th rankedBreogan Lugo (12-17) was smashed by fifth ranked Baskonia (20-9) in Vitoria 112-84 on Sunday. Baskonia outrebounded Rio Breogan 37-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. Baskonia looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Italian point guard Matteo Spagnolo (193-2003) nailed 19 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Canadian-Nigerian forward Eugene Omoruyi (198-1997, college: Oregon) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five Baskonia players scored in double figures. Serbian power forward Dragan Apic (206-1995) came up with 14 points and Serbian Mihailo Andric (201-1994) added 13 points respectively for Rio Breogan in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Baskonia moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Barca. Loser Breogan Lugo keeps the eleventh position with 17 games lost. They share it with Manresa.
