No shocking result in a game when fourth rankedBaskonia (23-9) crushed bottom-ranked Coviran Granada (6-26) in Vitoria 121-85 on Sunday. Baskonia made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by American guard Kobi Simmons (196-1997, college: Arizona) who scored that evening 18 points and 5 assists and the other American import point guard Trent Forrest (194-1998, college: FSU) supported him with 16 points. Five Baskonia players scored in double figures. Even 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) by Croatian Luka Bozic (200-1996) did not help to save the game for Granada . Bosnian-Italian Amar Alibegovic (206-1995, college: St.John's) added 19 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Baskonia have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Barca and Murcia. Granada at the other side stay dead last with 26 lost games.
