Regular Season Round 2: Malbas 2 - Bankeryds 80-85

Not a big story in a game when Malbas 2 lost to Bankeryds in Malmo 80-85 on Saturday. Bankeryds shot 22 for 30 from the free-throw line, while Malbas 2 only scored six points from the stripe. Guard Kristoffer Groenhage (187-1992) notched 39 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and Torbjoern Svensson supported him with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Even 23 points by Valter Lindstedt (-2008) did not help to save the game for Malbas 2. Lowe Michanek (-2007) added 13 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Malbas 2's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Bankeryds will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Malbas 2 will play against Onsala in Kungsbacka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
