Regular Season Round 1: RIG Lulea - Norrkoping 45-106

There was a surprise result when Norrkoping smashed on the road RIG Lulea 106-45 on Sunday. Norrkoping shot 60.3 percent from the field. They also forced 26 RIG Lulea turnovers and outrebounded them 33-17 including a 26-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Norrkoping looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by RIG Lulea's players. American guard Zipporah Broughton (170-2000, college: Florida) stepped up and scored 28 points, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners and swingman Kajsa Ahlberg (185-2003, college: Charleston So.) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Norrkoping players scored in double figures. At the losing side Jamila Al Tumi (-2009) responded with 14 points and forward Elin Punkki (183-2009) scored 9 points. Norrkoping will meet at home Lund in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. RIG Lulea will have a break next round.
