There was a surprise result when eleventh rankedHogsbo (1-4) defeated on the road 4th placed Nassjo (3-2) 104-95 on Friday. Hogsbo shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Charles Barton (193-1992, college: Oregon St.) who scored 30 points and 8 assists. Croatian power forward Tony Vitali (203-1991) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Hogsbo's coach used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Australian guard Mirko Djeric (193-1995) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists and American center Dartaye Ruffin (205-1991, college: Drexel) added 19 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hogsbo left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with Umea and Sloga Uppsala. Loser Nassjo dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams.
