Regular Season Round 8: Hogsbo - Umea 93-80

Bottom-rankedHogsbo managed to get a second victory, breaking the two-game losing streak on Thursday night. This time they won against ninth-ranked Umea in Goteborg 93-80 . Hogsbo looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Umea 's players. The best player for the winners was Croatian power forward Tony Vitali (203-1991) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Anes Zekovic (198-1995) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Center Justin Vander Baan (213, college: Lafayette) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 22 rebounds and forward AJ Clayton (203, college: Ohio) added 24 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hogsbo (2-6) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated Umea. Hogsbo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Umea will play against Nassjo (#4) and hope to secure a win.
