There was no surprise when 8th rankedUmea (3-8) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Uppsala (7-4) 90-67 on Friday. Uppsala made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 Umea turnovers and outrebounded them 36-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Lukas Friberg (190-1995) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Henrik Jadersten (208-1995, college: Santa Clara) who added 8 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Belgian Zaccharie Mortant (192-1998) with 18 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Jake ONeil (193, college: Idaho St.) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Four Umea players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Uppsala have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser Umea keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Hogsbo.
