Regular Season Round 11: Malbas 2 - Kalmar 94-83

Not a big story in a game in Malmo where bottom-ranked Kalmar (0-10) was defeated by eleventh ranked Malbas 2 (5-8) 94-83 on Saturday. Malbas 2 forced 33 Kalmar turnovers. Strangely Kalmar outrebounded Malbas 2 49-32 including a 39-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Malbas 2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Oliver Regner who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 assists. Noah Scego helped adding 19 points and 4 assists. Four Malbas 2 players scored in double figures. Montenegrin center Miki Novovic (208-1992) responded with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 assists and Isac Birgemo scored 5 points and 21 rebounds. Malbas 2 moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Vastra. Kalmar lost their tenth game in a row. They still close the standings with ten games lost. Malbas 2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kalmar will play against IK Eos 2 (#12) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
