There was a small surprise in Stockholm where ninth ranked Jamtland 2 (9-10) defeated 6th ranked Hammarby (8-10) 99-91 on Sunday. Jamtland 2 forced 22 Hammarby turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Romeo Persson (-2006) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 20 rebounds and swingman Valdemar Sawstrom (194-2010) who added 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Jamtland 2's coach Xavier Isern used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Maximilian Drake responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Yafet Taher scored 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Jamtland 2 have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Uppsala. Loser Hammarby dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Jamtland 2 will meet at home higher ranked Orebro (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hammarby will play against Lidingo (#4) and hope to secure a win.
