There was a small surprise when fourteenth rankedKalmar (4-22) smashed at home 12th ranked Malbas 2 (8-18) 104-69 on Sunday. Kalmar dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Malbas 2 's 38 and made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Malbas 2 45-21 including a 33-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kalmar looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Malbas 2 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Montenegrin center Miki Novovic (208-1992) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and French Julien Delmas (192-1992) who added 23 points and 8 assists during the contest. Kalmar's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Noel Marine responded with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Ake Larsson scored 16 points. Kalmar maintains fourteenth position with 4-22 record. Malbas 2 lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Umea 2.
