The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Denizli as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Denizli smashed second-ranked Sakarya BSB in Pamukkale 89-51. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sakarya BSB. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Denizli led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Denizli forced 23 Sakarya BSB turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. American guard Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Ilker Turel (190-83) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four Denizli players scored in double figures. American power forward Franklin Hassell (203-88, college: ODU) answered with 9 points and 9 rebounds and forward Hadi Ozdemir (203-83) added 7 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Sakarya BSB. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Buyukcekmece. Newly promoted Sakarya BSB dropped to the third place with six games lost. Sakarya BSB will play next round against Gelisim trying to get back on the winning streak. Denizli will try to continue on its current victory against eighteenth ranked Mersin in Akdeniz.
