Rather expected game when 11th ranked Duzce Belediye (1-3) lost on the road to eighth ranked Socar Petkim (3-1) 70-54 on Wednesday. Socar Petkim outrebounded Duzce Belediye 48-37 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for American point guard T.J. Campbell (175-88, college: Portland) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import power forward Alex Oriakhi (208-90, college: Connecticut) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Socar Petkim players scored in double figures. Mehmet Gorkem (-77) replied with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Erhan Yetim (204-87, agency: 1x1 Sports) added 7 points in the effort for Duzce Belediye. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Socar Petkim moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Newly promoted Duzce Belediye dropped to the thirteenth position with three games lost. Socar Petkim will face Eskisehir Basket (#6) in Edirne in the next round. Duzce Belediye will play on the road against the league's second-placed Turk Telekom (#2) in Ankara and hope to win that game.
