Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Pertevniyal (3-10) lost to eighth ranked Acibadem (8-5) in Istanbul 67-73. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. American power forward Sharrod Ford (206-82, college: Clemson) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. His fellow American import guard Bracey Wright (191-84, college: Indiana) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Four Acibadem players scored in double figures. Forward Nedim Yucel (203-79) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and Ege Arar (208-96) added 20 points respectively for lost side. Acibadem moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Samsun and Socar Petkim. Pertevniyal lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Acibadem's next round opponent will be higher ranked Bursaspor (#5) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pertevniyal will play against Muglaorman (#18) and hope to win that game.
