Very expected game when Yalova Bld (0-2) was defeated at home by Acibadem (2-0) 87-80 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Acibadem had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Davon Jefferson (204-86, college: USC) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). American-Ukrainian point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. Power forward Melih Kapucu (204-90) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Mikael Hopkins (206-93, college: Georgetown) added 12 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Acibadem will face Orman Genclik (#8) in Ankara in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Yalova Bld will play on the road against Selcuklu (#4) and hope to win that game.
