Not a big story in a game in Istanbul where 18th ranked Yalova Bld (2-14) was defeated by tenth ranked Bakirkoy (8-8) 89-79. 26 personal fouls committed by Yalova Bld helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for American swingman Manny Atkins (201-91, college: Georgia St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. Canadian guard Marek Klassen (185-92, college: Point Loma) contributed with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. American guard Markel Starks (188-91, college: Georgetown) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-83, college: Chicago St., agency: BeoBasket) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Yalova Bld. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Bakirkoy have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Akhisar Bld. Yalova Bld at the other side stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Bakirkoy's next round opponent will be Orman Genclik (#11) in Ankara. Yalova Bld will play against Karesi Spor (#7) and hope to win that game.
