A very interesting game took place in Gaziantep. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 16th ranked Usak Sportlif (4-20) to fifteenth ranked Gaziantep (7-17) 68-65 on Sunday evening. 24 personal fouls committed by Usak Sportlif helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was Sean Armand (196-91, college: Iona) who scored 16 points and 6 assists. Forward Robert Carter (206-94, college: Maryland) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Gaziantep's coach Nenad Markovic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was guard CJ Watson (188-84, college: Tennessee) who recorded 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and center Jackie Carmichael (206-90, college: Illinois St.) added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively. Gaziantep moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Demir IBB. Usak Sportlif lost eighth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 20 lost games. Gaziantep's next round opponent will be higher ranked Besiktas (#4) in Istanbul and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Usak Sportlif will play at home against Galatasaray (#10) and hope to win that game.
