We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Bahcesehir (1-8) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Manisa Izmir (1-7) 84-78 on Sunday. Manisa Izmir looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Mustafa Akkanat (-2004) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 5 rebounds and Kaan Bozkurt (-2003) who added 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Manisa Izmir's coach Taskin Toprak allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Halim Altin (-2004) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists and Ali Altin (-2005) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Manisa Izmir left bottom position moving up to ninth place. It was Bahcesehir's fourth loss in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. Manisa Izmir will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bahcesehir will play against Antalya Gelism (#6) and hope to win that game.
