There was no surprise when Mersin Secil was defeated at home by Turgutlu 75-68 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Ronahi Kiran (-2000) who scored 21 points and 4 assists. American forward Dejah Terrell (185-1999, college: California, PA) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. American center Kurstyn Harden (190-2000, college: SF Austin) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and Hilal Bayraktar (163-2000) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Turgutlu will meet Kirklareli on the road in the next round. Mersin Secil will play against Urla and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
