But Emlak was not able to use a home court advantage and was rolled over by the opponent from Mersin 89-69 on Sunday night. Mersin looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. French center Iliana Rupert (194-2001) fired 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Swedish power forward Regan Magarity (190-1996, college: Virginia Tech) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Mersin players scored in double figures. Nigerian-American power forward Victoria Macaulay (193-1990, college: Temple) produced 16 points and 8 rebounds and American swingman Robyn Parks (185-1992, college: VCU) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Mersin will meet Nesibe in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Emlak will play against Tarsus in Mersin and hope to win that game.
