Fifteenth-rankedBodrum (3-5) was very close to win a game against first ranked Erokspor (7-1) in Istanbul on Saturday. Erokspor managed to secure only one-point victory 78-77 . However their fans expected much easier game. Erokspor looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American center Jeremy Simmons (204-1989, college: Charleston) saved the victory by scoring 12 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Berkay Bayar (196-1999) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Simmons is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Erokspor's coach Ilker Salman used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. French center Murat Kozan (206-1993) replied with 23 points and 8 rebounds and American Langston Wilson (206-2000, college: Milwaukee) added 14 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Cagdas BS. Four Cagdas BS players scored in double figures. Erokspor have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-1 record, which they share with Cayirova. Cagdas BS at the other side dropped to the thirteenth place with five games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams.
