There was no surprise when 10th rankedMersin G. (3-5) was outplayed on the road by seventh ranked Adana (5-3) 87-66 on Saturday. Adana outrebounded Mersin G. 47-31 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Adana looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Slovenian power forward Shante Evans (185-1991, college: Hofstra) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Sevval Kaplan (184-2004) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Azra Ercelik (-2005) produced 13 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Lyndra Weaver (185-1987, college: Virginia, agency: LBM Management) added 13 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Adana moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Burhaniye and Bursa U. Mersin G. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with five games lost.
