Efes outrebounded Mersin BBGSK 35-23 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Efes looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Mersin BBGSK 's players. American center Daniel Oturu (208-1999, college: Minnesota) nailed 36 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (on 15-of-18 shooting from the field) for the winning side and his fellow American import swingman Elijah Bryant (196-1995, college: BYU, agency: Pensack Sports) accounted for 9 points and 7 assists. American-Montenegrin guard Justin Cobbs (191-1991, college: California, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 11 points and 7 assists and Nigerian-American David Efianayi (188-1995, college: Gardner-Webb) added 15 points respectively for Mersin BBGSK in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest.
