Regular Season Round 5: Infiz Basket - Zaporizhya 70-90

The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Zaporizhya's (2-5) road victory over 7th ranked Infiz Basket (1-3) 90-70 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Zaporizhya. Infiz Basket was better in third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Zaporizhya looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Russian forward Stanislav Dikiy (201-88, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Guard Stanislav Ovdeyenko (191-84) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. The former international Artem Shvets (200-85) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 17 rebounds and forward Anton Dziuba (204-95, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five Zaporizhya and four Infiz Basket players scored in double figures. Infiz Basket's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory Zaporizhya went down to seventh position due to points difference. Infiz Basket lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. Zaporizhya will have a break next round. Infiz Basket will play on the road against the league's leader Khimik (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
