Regular Season Round 4: Hoverla - Budivelnyk 66-76
Date: November 15, 2015
Bottom-ranked Hoverla (0-3) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their third consecutive match to sixth ranked Budivelnyk (2-2) 76-66. The game was mostly controlled by Budivelnyk. Hoverla was better in third quarter 19-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Hoverla to just 7 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Hoverla 39-24 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Budivelnyk players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. The winners were led by international swingman Pavlo Krutous (195-92, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who scored that evening 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Artem Butskyy (186-81, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) supported him with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Even 24 points and 5 assists by American-Jamaican guard Dante Williams (191-87, college: E.Tenn.St.) did not help to save the game for Hoverla. Forward Sergiy Yurchenko (201) added 12 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Hoverla's coach Oleksandr Lokhmanchuk rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Budivelnyk moved-up to fifth place. Hoverla at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Budivelnyk will play against Khortytsia (#6) in the next round. Hoverla will play against the league's second-placed BK Kremen in Kremenchuk and hopes to get finally their first victory.
