The game between fourth ranked Hoverla (5-6) and 8th ranked BC Odessa (2-10) in Frankivsk on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Hoverla outscored guests from Odessa 86-64. Hoverla looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Hoverla made 7 blocks. It was a good game for American forward Jayon James (198-92, college: La-Monroe) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 8 assists and 5 steals (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The other American import forward Victor Ljuljdjuraj (203, college: Albertus Magnus) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Hoverla's coach Oleksandr Lokhmanchuk felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Belarusian Gennadi Kuznetsov (204-75) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and center Vadim Matyukevych (209-80) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for BC Odessa. Despite that victory Hoverla went down to sixth position due to points difference. Loser BC Odessa dropped to the seventh place with ten games lost. Hoverla will face higher ranked Halychyna (#3) in Lviv in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
