Undefeated leader Khimik delivered the sixth consecutive victory on Wednesday night. This time they crushed 6th ranked Budivelnyk (3-3) 83-62 in Kyiv. The game without a history. Khimik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for Khimik especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Khimik made 7 blocks. American point guard Jaime Smith (190-89, college: Al.-Huntsville) stepped up and scored 18 points and 5 assists for the winners and international power forward Viacheslav Petrov (204-94, agency: AproK Sports Group) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) responded with 15 points and 5 assists and the former international Artur Drozdov (199-80, agency: Comsport) scored 15 points. Four Budivelnyk players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
