Regular Season Round 14: Hoverla - BC-93 RSzVSM 90-50

An interesting game for Hoverla (12-2) which hosted in Frankivsk 4th ranked BC-93 Pulsar (8-6). First ranked Hoverla had an easy win 90-50. The game without a history. Hoverla led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to BC-93 Pulsar's 20. Hoverla forced 19 BC-93 Pulsar turnovers and outrebounded them 49-27 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by BC-93 Pulsar's players. The former international center Roman Gumeniuk (220-87) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Oleksandr Biella (200-95, agency: AproK Sports Group) contributed with 9 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Hoverla's coach Pavel Piskarev felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Vasil Fedorchuk (200-96) replied with 18 points and point guard Mikhailo Stonozhenko (180-96) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for BC-93 Pulsar. Hoverla maintains first position with 12-2 record, which they share with Krivbas-2. BC-93 Pulsar lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with Ternopil-TNEU. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
