Regular Season Round 15: BC-93 RSzVSM - Khimik-2 66-80

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Rovno. Second ranked Khimik-2 faced 4th placed BC-93 Pulsar. Guests from Yuzhny (10-5) defeated host BC-93 Pulsar (8-7) 80-66. The game was mostly controlled by Khimik-2. BC-93 Pulsar was better in third quarter 28-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BC-93 Pulsar to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Khimik-2 brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. BC-93 Pulsar was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Artem Kovalov (202-97, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks. Forward Kyrylo Marchenko (191-97) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Guard Oleksandr Zahozhiy (186-86) answered with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Vasil Fedorchuk (200-96) added 15 points in the effort for BC-93 Pulsar. Four Khimik-2 and five BC-93 Pulsar players scored in double figures. BC-93 Pulsar's coach rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Khimik-2 maintains second place with 10-5 record having five points less than leader Krivbas-2. BC-93 Pulsar lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
