Regular Season Round 10: Khimik - Dnipro 65-80

Leader Dnipro delivered the eighth victory. This time they beat 6th ranked Khimik (3-3) 80-65 in Yuzhny. The game was mostly controlled by Dnipro. Khimik was better in fourth quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Khimik's 28. Dnipro players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (204-89, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Pavel Revzin (194-83) contributed with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Five Dnipro players scored in double figures. American forward Austin Arians (198-93, college: Wake Forest) replied with 17 points and his fellow American import center Jason Love (206-87, college: Xavier, agency: Two Points) added 12 points in the effort for Khimik. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dnipro have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-1 record. Khimik lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with three games lost. Dnipro will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Khimik will play on the road against Mykolaiv (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
