Regular Season Round 28: Cherkasy - Khimik 99-67

An interesting game for Cherkasy (20-8) which hosted in Cherkasy 4th ranked Khimik (14-14). Second ranked Cherkasy had an easy win 99-67. The game was mostly controlled by Cherkasy. Khimik was better in second period 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Cherkasy players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Khimik's players. Worth to mention a great performance of international Oleksandr Kobets (197-96) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 7 rebounds and Maks-Adam Konate (202-91) who added 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Austin Arians (198-93, college: Wake Forest) responded with 13 points and Sergiy Pavlov (203-97) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cherkasy have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 20-8 record having five points less than leader Dnipro. Khimik at the other side keeps the fourth place with 14 games lost.
