Semi-Finals Game 1: Rivne - Kozachka-KPU 78-58

The game was mostly controlled by Rivne. Kozachka-KPU managed to win third quarter24-16 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rivne dominated on the defensive end, holding Kozachka-KPU to just 2 points in second quarter. They also forced 21 Kozachka-KPU turnovers. The former international guard Viktoria Shmatova (171-1987, agency: BIG) stepped up and scored 28 points and 7 assists for the winners and center Angelina Hryhoruk (180-2005) chipped in 26 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side guard Valeriya Kutsenko (173-2007) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Austrian guard Ninel Merkotun (172-2004) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
