Regular Season Round 11: Partizan - Buducnost 67-59

An exciting game was played in Beograd. Third ranked SerbianPartizan faced second-ranked Montenegrin Buducnost . Host Partizan (7-3) defeated guests from Podgorica (6-2) 67-59 . It was a key game for the second position in the league. It looked good early as Buducnost took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Partizan had a 18-14 second period charge getting the lead and Buducnost was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 59-67. Slovenian point guard Blaza Ceh (181-2003) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 7 assists. Brazilian center Izabel Varejao (193-1999, college: Syracuse) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Zorana Radonjic (173-2002) answered with 12 points and 5 assists and American forward Delaynie Byrne (190-2000, college: N.Colorado) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Buducnost. Buducnost's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Partizan moved-up to second place, which they share with Celje. Defending Montenegrin champion Buducnost dropped to the fourth position with two games lost.
