Regular Season Round 7: TTT Riga - Panevezys 113-52

Bottom-ranked LithuanianPanevezys (0-5) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to second ranked Latvian TTT Riga (5-1) 113-52 on Saturday evening. TTT Riga dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Panevezys ' 20. TTT Riga forced 24 Panevezys turnovers and outrebounded them 57-27 including a 22-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. TTT Riga looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Panevezys ' players. It was a great evening for Canadian forward Niyah Becker (188-2000, college: Wake Forest) who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Enija Viksne (178-2004) helped adding 10 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Five TTT Riga players scored in double figures. TTT Riga's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side power forward Laura Zelnyte (193-1994) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds and scored 7 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. TTT Riga have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending Latvian champion maintains second place with 5-1 record having just one point less than leader Kibirkstis, which they share with LCC Klaipeda. Panevezys at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost.
