Gurtl's 22 points and 8 rebounds give him Hoops Agents 2.Bundesliga Player of the Week award

28-year old guard Benedict Gurtl (189-G-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Worthersee Piraten and receives a Hoops Agents 2.Bundesliga Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had the game-high 22 points adding eight rebounds for Worthersee in his team's victory, helping them to beat Guessing (#6, 1-3) 61-56. Worthersee Piraten maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Austrian 2.Bundesliga. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Worthersee already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Gurtl had a remarkable 90.0% from 2-point range. This victory allowed Raiders Tirol to move up to 1st position in West. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 5 games without any defeat. Kikwaki is a newcomer at Raiders Tirol and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.8ppg (#4). He also registered 6.6 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Worthersee's star - forward Shawn Ray (196-F-1980). Ray scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Worthersee Piraten, helping his team with a 61-56 win against the lower-ranked Guessing (#6, 1-3). Worthersee Piraten started extremely well this year. They recorded 5 victories without losing a single game in West. Ray turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Ray has a great season in Austria. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.4rpg (2nd best).
