Austrian BSL round 8 best performance: Jalen Cooper (by Hoops Agents)

Thailand Forward Jalen Cooper (201-F-2001, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for HEFTE HELFEN Bulls Kapfenberg, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat Kufstein (#10, 1-6) 94-82. Kapfenberg Bulls maintains the 3rd position in Austrian BSL. They are still close to the very top. Kapfenberg would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 7-1 record. In the team's last game Cooper had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Kapfenberg Bulls's top player in his first season with the team. Former Eastern Kentucky University star has very solid stats this year. Cooper is in league's top in points (5th best: 19.4ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 8.8rpg) and averages impressive 62.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Sean Smith (190-G-2000) of SKN St. Poelten Basketball. Smith had a very good evening with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as UBC St. Poelten lost that game 83-105 to slightly higher-ranked UBSC Graz (#6, 3-4). This loss caused St.Poelten to drop to 8th position in the standings. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories UBC St. Poelten managed to get this year. Smith is a newcomer at St.Poelten, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Maceo Williams (201-F-2003, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) of Unger Steel Gunners Oberwart (#4). Williams scored 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of Gunners Oberwart, leading his team to a 85-66 easy win against the lower-ranked Klosterneuburg (#9, 2-6). Oberwart needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 3 lost games. Williams has a great season in Austria. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.1ppg (9th best).
