Austrian BSL round 3 (Second Stage) best performance: Andrew Jones (by Hoops Agents)

American Guard Andrew Jones (193-G-1997) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked HEFTE HELFEN Bulls Kapfenberg, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage).
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (23 points, seven rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush UBSC Graz (#5, 13-10) with 18-point margin 91-73. It allowed Kapfenberg Bulls to consolidate first place in the Austrian BSL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Kapfenberg has a very solid 18-5 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Jones had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Kapfenberg Bulls's top player in his first season with the team. Former The University of Texas star has very solid stats this year. Jones is in league's top in points (4th best: 20.3ppg) and averages impressive 58.4% FGP and 40.2% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Jerome Hunter (203-F-1999, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) of Places 7-11 second-ranked Raiffeisen Swans Gmunden. Hunter had a very good evening with a double-double of 26 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led Gmunden Swans to another comfortable win 102-83 over Furstenfeld (2-21) being unquestionably team leader. The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Hunter is a newcomer at Gmunden, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.6ppg (#3). He also registered 9.5 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Bosnia and Herzegovina forward Sead Hadzifejzovic (202-F/C-1989, agency: Alti Sport) of Coldmaris BBC Nord Dragonz Eisenstadt (#10). Hadzifejzovic scored 26 points. Despite Hadzifejzovic's great performance the Nord Dragonz lost 84-89 to Traiskirchen (#7, 13-9). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Eisenstadt can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-21 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Hadzifejzovic has individually a great season in Austria. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.5ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 8.3rpg (5th best).
