Walker re-signs at Cankaya

Marcedes Marie Walker

Cankaya Universitesi Ankara (TKBL) confirmed in their roster 30-year old American (has also Azerbaijani passport) center Marcedes Marie Walker (191-86, college: Pittsburgh). She was a team leader there last season. In 14 TKBL games she recorded very impressive stats: 16.3ppg, 11.4rpg and 2.6apg. A very spectacular season in her career as she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TKBL Honorable Mention. Walker also played that season for Bursa BSB where in 8 TKBL games she averaged remarkable 16.4ppg, 13.0rpg, 2.5apg and 1.3spg. Great season indeed as she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TKBL Honorable Mention.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Walker won Turkish TKB2L championship title in 2014. She was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TKB2L Player of the Year and Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TKB2L Import of the Year in 2014.
Walker is quite experienced player. She has played also professionally in Israel (Elitzur Holon and Elitzur Netanya), Italy (Pall.Pozzuoli), Poland (Rybnik) and WNBA (Houston C.) and Turkey (Botas, TED Ankara, Edirne and Orduspor).
Walker attended University of Pittsburgh until 2008 and it will be her ninth season as a professional player.
