Regular Season Round 20: ZTE KK - Marso NYKK 60-70

Rather predictable result in Zalaegerszeg where tenth ranked Marso NYKK (7-13) defeated bottom-ranked ZTE KK (1-19) 70-60 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Marso NYKK. ZTE KK managed to win third quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Serbian power forward Ivan Miskovic (203-84, college: Alaska-Fairb.) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Montenegrin forward Damjan Kandic (208-84, agency: 011 Sports) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Marso NYKK players scored in double figures. American power forward Esian Henderson (204-86, college: Central Mo.) produced 9 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Tim Whitworth (198-81, college: Drexel, agency: Limelight Hoops) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Marso NYKK maintains tenth position with 7-13 record. ZTE KK lost eighth consecutive game. Defending champion stay dead last with 19 lost games. Marso NYKK will meet at home higher ranked Atomeromu (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. ZTE KK will play against PVSK Pannon (#7) in Pecs.
