Second Stage Round 1: Szedeak - Jaszberenyi 110-104

Szedeak used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Jaszberenyi 110-104 on Saturday night. Jaszberenyi trailed by 17 points at halftime and as many as 19 after three quarters before a 35-22 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 104-110 at the end of the game. Szedeak shot 62.1 percent from the field. Szedeak outrebounded Jaszberenyi 33-21 including 25 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Szedeak looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSU Moorhead, agency: HMS) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners. His fellow American import center Clayton Vette (202-88, college: Winona St.) chipped in 24 points and 5 rebounds. Szedeak's coach Nikola Lazic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international swingman Akos Horvath (194-81) produced 19 points and 5 assists and American point guard Travis Cohn (188-89, college: Jacksonville) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Szedeak will face Marso NYKK (#14) in Nyiregyhazi in the next round.
