Quarter-Finals Round 1: Apoel - Enosis 71-53

Apoel held off Enosis to gain 1-0 lead in the quarterfinal series. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 46-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Apoel had a 33-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. American center Callistus Eziukwu (208-85, college: Grand Valley St.) stepped up and scored 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import power forward Keith Ramsey (205-87, college: Missouri) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Four Apoel players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Akida McLain (206-86, college: Indiana, PA, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Montenegrin guard Amin Hott (192-92) scored 16 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
