Regular Season Round 4: Dynamo NR - Kazanochka 74-53

Bottom-ranked Kazanochka (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 74-53 loss to fourth ranked Dynamo NR (4-1) in Novosibirsk. The winners were led by American center Latoya Williams (192-87, college: Chipola JC) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Marina Riavkina (169-93, agency: LBM Management) supported her with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Dynamo NR players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) by forward Kristina Alikina (187-86, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) did not help to save the game for Kazanochka. Montenegrin guard Jelena Vucetic (178-93) added 6 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Kazanochka's coach Aleksandr Chernov gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Dynamo NR moved-up to third place, which they share with Nadezhda O. Kazanochka at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Dynamo NR's next round opponent will be Spartak Vidnoye (#6) at home. Kazanochka will play against Spartak Noginsk (#11) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
