Regular Season Round 6: Kormend - PVSK Pannon 85-75

Rather expected game when 6th ranked PVSK Pannon (2-2) was defeated on the road by top-ranked Kormend (4-0) 85-75. It looked good early as PVSK Pannon took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kormend had a 29-13 second period charge getting the lead and PVSK Pannon was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-85. Kormend forced 20 PVSK Pannon turnovers. It was a good game for American-Guinea-Bissau point guard Perry Petty (185-88, college: UTRGV) who led his team to a victory with 27 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. American forward Terry Allen (203-93, college: Richmond) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Petty is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Croatia forward Veljko Budimir (199-85) replied with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Bulgaria Ivan Lilov (194-88, agency: Two Points) added 18 points in the effort for PVSK Pannon. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kormend have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. PVSK Pannon at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with ZTE KK and Szedeak. Kormend will play against bottom-ranked MAFC (#14) in Budapest in the next round which should be an easy win for them. PVSK Pannon will play at home against Falco KC (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
