There was no surprise when 10th ranked Massagno (3-7) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Neuchatel (5-5) 107-94. Massagno was ahead by 6 points at the halftime before a 55-36 second half run of Neuchatel. They shot 66.7 percent from the field and made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Neuchatel especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. 24 personal fouls committed by Massagno helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian power forward Zoran Krstanovic (204-82) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). American power forward Juwann James (198-87, college: JMU) accounted for 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Danish center Jonas Bergstedt (210-91) came up with 23 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Quinton Day (185-84, college: UMKC) added 21 points respectively for Massagno in the defeat. Four Neuchatel and five Massagno players scored in double figures. Neuchatel moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Lugano Tigers and Swiss Central. Massagno lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with seven games lost. Neuchatel's next round opponent will be Swiss Central (#5) in Luzern. Massagno will play at home against Boncourt (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
