Regular Season Round 15: Kupol-Rodniki - TEMP-SUMZ 80-79

A very close game took place in Izhevsk between Kupol-Rodniki and TEMP-SUMZ Revda. Eighth ranked Kupol-Rodniki (6-6) got a very close home victory over 10th ranked TEMP-SUMZ Revda (4-9). Kupol-Rodniki managed to escape with a 1-point win 80-79 on Friday evening. Kupol-Rodniki forced 20 TEMP-SUMZ Revda turnovers. The best player for the winners was center Aleksey Karpeko (204-89) who scored 21 points. Guard Maksim Kiryanov (190-90) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. Four Kupol-Rodniki players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Anton Glazunov (182-86) who recorded 20 points and 7 assists and guard Viktor Zaryazhko (195-92) added 20 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kupol-Rodniki. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ural Ekaterinb. TEMP-SUMZ Revda lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with nine games lost. Kupol-Rodniki will meet at home Ural Ekaterinburg (#7) in the next round. TEMP-SUMZ Revda will have a break next round.
