Regular Season Round 19: Univ.Surgut - Kupol-Rodniki 85-55

There was no surprise in Surgut where 7th ranked Kupol-Rodniki (7-7) was crushed by second ranked Universitet-Yugra (12-4) 85-55. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian Nikola Lepojevic (195-82, agency: BeoExcell) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. Center Aleksandr Semchenko (211-89) accounted for 7 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Maksim Kiryanov (190-90) came up with 18 points and 8 rebounds and guard Viktor Kashin (193-94) added 5 points respectively for Kupol-Rodniki in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Universitet-Yugra maintains second place with 12-4 record behind leader Novosybirsk. Kupol-Rodniki at the other side dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Universitet-Yugra will have a break next round. Kupol-Rodniki will play on the road against MBA Moscow (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
