Regular Season Round 15: Enosis - AEK 54-69

Date: February 11, 2017
Very significant was AEK's (#2, 11-4) victory against 4th placed Enosis (6-9) 69-54. The game was mostly controlled by AEK. Enosis was better in fourth quarter 17-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AEK had a 25-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Montenegrin Vladimir Dasic (207-88) who led the winners and scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Tyrell Biggs (203-86, college: Pittsburgh) accounted for 13 points for the winning side. AEK's coach Linos Gavriel used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Gerry Blakes (193, college: Arizona St.) came up with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Canadian forward Kevin Thomas (203-92, college: Troy) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Enosis in the defeat. AEK have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 11-4 record having just three points less than leader Keravnos. Enosis at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. AEK will play against league's leader Keravnos in Strovolos in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Enosis will play at home against Etha and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
