Rather expected game when 6th ranked Spartak-Prim. (12-9) was smashed by third ranked Universitet-Yugra (15-5) in Surgut 90-65. Universitet-Yugra players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Serbian Nikola Lepojevic (195-82, agency: BeoExcell) scored 31 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Alexander Savenkov (205-82) chipped in 7 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. American forward Justin Martin (198-90, college: SMU, agency: Interperformances) responded with 16 points and power forward Maxim Krivosheev (207-88) scored 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Universitet-Yugra have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Spartak-Prim. at the other side keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Universitet-Yugra will play against bottom-ranked Urartu Yerevan (#13) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Spartak-Prim. will play against Samara-SGEU (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
